Explore the highlights of Northern Ireland on a day trip from Belfast. Enjoy discovering the most unique locations along the scenic north coast,travelling along the North Antrim Coast taking in its breath-taking views and taking in the World-Famous Carrickfergus and stopping at the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. Tour timings are dependant on the arrival time of the cruise ships in Dublin Port. However, Fair Isle Tours will ensure that each and every customer is well informed of the tour timings before departure. Of course, all times are subject to change due to adverse weather, road traffic and any other unforeseeable circumstances which may occur.

Where do the tours start?
We will pick you up dockside, from your cruise ship in Belfast one hour after your ship docks. Our driver will be waiting with a sign to greet you and will be easily identifiable.

Pick up at Belfast Cruise Ship Terminal
We will pick up you up from your cruise ship in our luxury Fair Isle Tours coach one hour after your ship docks . Our driver will be waiting with a sign to greet you and will be easily identifiable. The driver will then inform you of your itinerary for the day and the tour will begin 30 minutes after disembarkation starts
Carrickfergus
Travelling along the North Antrim Coast taking in its breath-taking views and taking in the world-famous Carrickfergus, where will we stop for a brief photo shoot at the beautiful Carrickfergus castle
Visit Carrick-a -Rede (Your priority entrance fee is included)
Once we reach the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, you'll get the chance to cross the world-famous salmon fishermen’s rope bridge to Carrick Island. Owned by the National Trust, this bridge is 30 metres above seal - level and 20 metres wide. Before continuing to the Giant’s Causeway, from the bridge you’ll be able to enjoy the spectacular views of Rathlin Island and the Mull of Kintyre in Scotland (weather permitting) . Crossing this bridge is not for the faint-hearted (and not mandatory) , but it is truly a thrilling experience
Dunluce Castle
The dramatic backdrop of the ocean makes this spot ideal for taking photos. Considered as one of the most picturesque castles of Ireland, the now - ruined castle is connected to the mainland by bridge and belonged to the McDonnell clan. This location was also used various times in the TV show ‘Game of Thrones
Giant ’s Causeway ( Your priority entrance fee is included )
During the drive to the Giant Causeway, you will witness amazing sights of the North Coast of Antrim, including rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, and breath-taking views of Scotland (weather permitting) . The Giant's Causeway is an area of about 37,000 interlocking basalt columns and it is believed that the columns were formed by volcanic activity 60 million years ago. Full stop.
Dark Hedges (Game of Thrones)
The Dark Hedges is one of the most popular phenomena in Northern Ireland. It gained popularity in the hit TV series Game of Thrones as the famous King’s road in Season 2. Originally the hedges were planted by the Stuart family in the 18th century to impress visitors. The site to date remains every photographer’s dream and it is a great opportunity to stretch your legs and stroll.
Belfast City
Finally, we will have a short tour of West Belfast. While here, you will be travelling to The Peace Walls & Murals, The Titanic Quarter and the city district of Belfast. On the way to the cruise ship, we will bring you through the East Belfast district for some more historic sightseeing. Full stop.
Return to cruise ship
We will end the tour by dropping our guests to the dockside. If your boat is leaving earlier or later, we will amend the itinerary as necessary. We hope you’ve had a memorable trip, and we hope to see you soon!
