Fair Isle Tours are pleased to announce that it is our intention to recommence touring at the beginning of September 2021, under the heading Autumn Tours: Explore the West. This tour will take you across Ireland’s magnificent west coast, which is bursting with culture, legend, and beautiful landscapes. This tour will consist of six nights and seven days.
Transfer by luxury coach to the Cliff Hotel at Lyons. Local sightseeing in the afternoon, followed by a welcome dinner and drinks on arrival.
We will enjoy a full day day sightseeing in Dublin, visiting essential points of interest such as the Guinness Storehouse, Trinity College and Book of Kells, and Georgian Dublin where we will have lunch. Then we will return to hotel for dinner and entertainment.
On Day 3 we will leave Dublin behind and make our way west to the bustling coasal town of Galway, stopping on the way at the world renowned Monasterboice round tower. On arrival in Galway, we will enjoy some shopping and local sightseeing. Dinner will be served at our accommodation at the beautiful Connacht Hotel.
We will depart Galway, for a full day tour of Ireland’s most famous tourist attractions. This will include the Cliffs of Moher and travel through the Burren, a world heritage site, where we will take in stunning views of Galway Bay and the surrounding countryside. We will return to the hotel for dinner and an evening in Galway City Centre, where you will be welcome to enjoy Galway’s vibrant nightlife, and some o the best pints of Guiness around!
We will depart Galway and travel north to Sligo via the rugged mountains of Connemara, taking in Kylemore Abbey. We will arrive at our accommadation om Sligo at Markree Castle, and enjoy an evening meal there.
Full day tour, taking in the magnificent Benbulben mountain and Dartry mountain range, which featurews heavily in Irish mythology. We will visit W.B Yeats grave in Drumcliffe, and visit Lissadell House and Gardens. Then we will return to Markree Castle for an evening meal.
Return to Dublin to the Cliff Hotel, shopping in the afternoon. Dinner and farewell drinks.
This is just a very brief outline of one of our tours. Obviously, there is a fair amount of uncertainty at this time, due to Covid-19 and this may be subject to change. We are awaiting confirmation of prices from our partners in the hotel sector and also visitor attzractions. We will inform you of the price of these tours as soon as possible. The one thing that we can be certain of is this tour will have all the ingredients that people have come to expect from a visit to Ireland, including, it’s stunning scenery, it’s warm welcome, it’s fine food and drink and our deserved reputation for being one of the most popular places on earth to visit. We will be adding a lot more detail regarding the day to day itinerary and also the evening entertainment that will be available, over the coming weeks.
